On Sunday, October 19 at Teatro del Sale, a full schedule of activities will bring Chinese culture to life through creativity, storytelling, and sensory experiences, including:


 

 


11:00 - 14:00 | Cooking Class with Lunch (Paid activity, reservation required)

A hands-on culinary workshop dedicated to the preparation of traditional Chinese dumplings.

Guided by expert chefs, participants will learn step by step the secrets of dough and wrappers, the art of preparing the filling, and the technique of folding dumplings.

At the end of the class, everyone will enjoy the freshly made dumplings together, sharing an authentic moment of conviviality around the table.

14:30 - 15:30 | Tea Ceremony (Free, reservation required)

A Performative Lesson on Chinese Tea Preparation.

Expert tea masters will demonstrate each step of the process: from weighing the tea leaves to “crumbling” them, from boiling the water to steeping the tea, and finally appreciating the flavor, aroma, and taste — all accompanied live by the sounds of the Guzheng (a traditional Chinese string instrument).

16:00 - 17:30 | Chinese Knot Workshop for Children (Free, reservation required)

A creative workshop designed for children, dedicated to the traditional art of Chinese knotting.

Guided by skilled artisans, kids will learn to create simple good-luck knots by weaving colorful threads, discovering the symbolic meaning behind each knot, and taking home their own handmade souvenir from the experience.

17:30 - 18:30 | Children’s Choir (Free, reservation required)

A choir of young Chinese voices takes us on a musical journey through ancient melodies and contemporary songs.

Led by experienced instructors, the young singers will perform both traditional and modern songs in Chinese, offering the audience a harmonious and culturally rich experience.
