On Saturday, October 18, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the FánHuā Chinese Film Festival will present “Chinese Mythology: Legendary Figures in the Art of Andrea Mancini”, a live, on-stage workshop exploring the rich visual heritage of ancient Chinese myths and deities.

This event offers a captivating visual journey into the mythological traditions of China, told through the power of contemporary art. In this exclusive live session, artist Andrea Mancini will create original illustrations inspired by legendary figures such as Nuwa, Fuxi, Pangu, Yu the Great, Mazu, and the supernatural beings known as Yaoguai.
An extraordinary opportunity to discover the symbolic depth and narrative strength of these age-old legends through the lens of one of Italy’s most distinguished digital artists.

About Andrea Mancini
Head of Anatomy, Illustration, and Digital Painting – Nemo Academy
An artist and educator specializing in both traditional and digital techniques, Andrea Mancini is a leading authority on digital painting at Nemo Academy in Florence. After studying with Tomislav Spikic and Leonardo Mattioli, he developed an international career between Paris and New York, collaborating with renowned figures such as Milton Glaser and Andy Warhol. A pioneer of digital art since the 1990s, he now works in the fashion and advertising industries and is an official demonstrator for Wacom Europe.
